Island Explorer

Explore stunning Strangford Lough, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from a unique perspective with 115 miles of coastline and an Island to explore for everyday of the year, an immersive experience never to be forgotten.

Either book online for one of our suggested dates (maximum 6 people per group) or contact us book your own private group (3hrs) £75pp minimum 2 people. You choose which direction and islands to explore.
Trips are also available on the very easily accessible Belfast Lough or, as a mobile company, we can offer kayaking anywhere in Northern Ireland – on sea or inland waters.

Escorted by one of our qualified, experienced guides who will be happy to coach the most nervous beginners or challenge the experienced paddler, tell us what you would like for your own bespoke, relaxing or exhilarating session or join a group and meet some locals.

On the day your guide will help you to explore with local knowledge and skills to share. On Strangford Lough, you could pass the old oyster farm on Sketrick Island, see the Ballydorn Light Ship up close, paddle through the fast currents at Daft Eddies, or the tidal flows at the Narrows. Watch the wildlife – through the changing seasons look out for seal pups or Brent geese and take time to explore some of the many islands or stop for a bite to eat. You might even want to try your hand at fishing.

You will have great craic, viewing lots of local history and listening to the wildlife.

Suitable for all abilities, incuding beginners - aimed at adults but 16 or 17 year olds may join in if accompanied by a responsible adult.  If you want to bring younger children please contact us to arrange a private booking at info@mobileteamadventure.co.uk

What to expect

Meeting at Whiterock, Killinchy, enjoy a relaxing paddle on the beautiful Strangford Lough for roughly 3 hours of paddling depending on weather conditions, with a stop, if you want, on one of the islands.  You will be looked after by John - a very experienced instructor who greatly enjoys sharing his love of sea kayaking and knowledge of Strangford Lough.

Wear warm comfortable clothing, and bring a change with you, just in case. A waterproof jacket is recommended to keep you comfortable if you are splashing.

If you need to contact us the easiest way is to e-mail us at: info@mobileteamadventure.co.uk, or you could try the mobile on 07749 011283.  The mobile won't be answered if we are mid-session with a group, but if you leave a message we will get back to you as soon as we can.
